Ajattelinpa vain vinkata että laitoin äsken huudeltavaksi uudet kaiserin jalokivitarrat! Uusia värejä on 7 (siniharmaa, lippy red, split pea, shampanja, laguuni, viini ja antiikkiruusu)!!! Aivan ihania! :) Täältä ne löytyy vanhojen värien vierestä. :) Helmitarrojakin olet laittanut isot kasat (niissä ei uusia värejä). Ja minulla on melkein 200 kohdetta mitkä pitäisi listailla. iiiiiiiik!!!! No, jos tuo ilmastointilaite alkaa toimimaan, niin niitähän voisi laitella yön aikana, mutta katsotaan...

~yes, still steaming hot here~

Terveiset lauran helletoimistosta. hih! Tuossa koneella istuskelen naputtelemassa tätä blogipostausta. On kyllä vähän paha olo ja pää kipeä mutta yritän kovasti juoda vettä. Kuumuus on vieläkin ihan kamala. Talossa on lähes +40C lämmintä joten siellä on ihan kamala olla. Sitä kuumuutta ei pääse mihinkään karkuun. Tänään täällä on taas ollut n.+47C lämmintä. Talo kun on jo ennestään kuuma, niin se on vain pahentunut. Viime yönä ei ilmastointilaite alkanut toimimaan ennenkuin n.3:30 yöllä! Onneksi se sitten toimi puoleen päivään saakka joten sain nukuttua. Monta kylmää suihkua on otettu, mutta se auttaa vain vähän aikaa. Takapihallakaan ei ole viileää mutta on vähän parempaa entä sisällä joten Pauli toi minun tietsikan tänne :). Välillä käy ihana pieni tuulenvire, mikä auttaa hieman. Voi että kun alkaisi jo viilenemään... tätä ei jaksa enää!

Hello from Laura's heat wave office. *grin* I am sitting right there on the computer writing this blog post. I am feeling a bit sick and have a headache but i am trying to keep drinking water. The heat is still so bad. Inside the house it is almost +40C so it is super uncomfortable. House has been hot already and it has just kept ketting hotter and hotter every day. Last night our portable air con didn't start working until 3:30am!! Fortunately it did work then all morning so I got some decent sleep. I have taken many cold showers, but it helps only a short time. It is not really cool in the backyard, but it is better than inside so Paul brought my computer here :). Every now and then there is a slight breeze which helps a bit. I so hope it will start cooling down. i can't take any more of this heat!

Kello on nyt 8 aamulla. Olen ollut koko yön hereillä ja kävin äsken kaupassa ostamassa juomista lisää ja ukolle aamupalaa :). kuuma... sikamaisen kuuma jo nyt! Auto oli varjossa joten onneksi se ei muistuttanut vielä saunaa. Tuntui jo että mikäs tässä, kiva aamu. Sitten nousin autosta ja helleaalto iski. käääääääääääk! Hyi! No, hyvä että menin käymään kaupassa jo nyt sillä myöhemmin ei kyllä haluta mennä ulos! ei sitten yhtään.

It is 8am. I have been up all night and I just pop out to the supermarket to get some more to drink and breakfast for Paul. hot.. disgustingly hot already now! Car had been in the shade so it was pretty ok and I already thought that it is a nice morning. Then I got out of the car and bam... heatwave hit me. YUCK! Well, i am happy that I went to the shop now as it is only going to get worse. I will NOT go out again today... not that it is going to be lovely inside (sigh). At least the air con is still working :).

Kävin takapihalla tarkistamassa kasvit... porkkanat ovat lopullisesti kuolleet. Kurkullekin sää on tainnut olla liian kuuma vaikka ollaan me sitä hyvin kasteltu. Paljon oli punaisia tomaatteja odottamassa ja paprikoita. :)

I also went to the backyard to see how the plants are doing.. carrots have all died and cucumber doesn't look too good either. We have been giving it plenty of water but I think it hates this dry heat. Tomatoes are looking all red and beautiful and there are so many capsicums, too!

voi miten ihana kun ilmastointi toimii nyt vieläkin paremmin. JIPPII!!!! Tulee varmastikin oltua hereillä koko yö. No, parempi näin, niin saa jotakin aikaiseksikin.

Näin just ihanan ystäväni Sandran blogissa hänen tekemänsä suloisen kortin. Hän tietenkin laittoi linkin että mistä leimasin on hankittu ja.. juuh, helppo arvata että tilaus tuli laitettua. En voinut vastustaa tätä pupuleimasinta. :)

~3 tuntia myöhemmin~

eli kello on nyt n.23:45. Kuuma, kuuma, kuuma! Kuumuus ei ole hellittänyt ollenkaan +huokaus+. Nukahdin lattialle ja kun heräsin, oli kyllä kamala olo.. ei kun suihkuun taas. Onneksi ilmastointilaite on alkanut toimimaan ainakin jotenkuten joten siitä tulee vähän viileää ja Pauli kävi hakemassa kasan vesipulloja kaupasta.

Tämä kuumuus täällä on nimenomaan sellaista kuivaa. yääääk! Kuuma suihku? ei kait.. iiiik! En uskalla! hih! Voi että kun täällä tuulisi vähänkään ulkona, niin istuisin siellä erittäin mielelläni varjossa, mutta täällä ei yleensä näinä hellepäivinä ole minkäänlaista tuulenvirettä. Tulee sellainen kamalan ahdistava olo, kun sitä kuumuutta ei pääse karkuun ollenkaan. Pitää yrittää olla vain öisin hereillä taas että saa edes jotakin tehtyä ja nukkua sitten päivällä. Kuumina päivinä auttaa muuten jonkin verran se, että jos pitää ranteita kylmän veden alla.. veri sitten viilenee ja kun se menee muualle niin se vähän auttaa. Samoin korvien taakse kylmää vettä niin sekin auttaa.

Ainiin, meidän vauva (sokeri kissa siis) lähti rantalomalle Morningtoniin... eli mummulaan pariksi päiväksi. Heillä on parempi ilmastointi, joten tuntuu paremmalta kun tietää että vauveli ei kärsi kuumuudesta. :) Ja saa paljon rapsutteluakin. hih! :)

Voi että ihana kun tuo ilmastointi toimii. Se auttaa just sen verran että tietsikka ei ylikuumene niin saa jotakin tehtyä tässä. Ja ISO ISO ISO ISO kiitos teidän ihanista viesteistä. Ne ihan oikeasti piristivät ihan älyttömästi kun niitä lueskelin.. olo oli nimittäin todella kurja.

Ainiin... noora, karkkilakko ei ole sujunut ollenkaan! ei sitten ollenkaan :(. Mutta minun toinen lakko eli pikaruokalakko on toiminut. En ole käynyt mäkkärillä enkä hakenut mitään näistä isoista ketjuista.. paitsi minun suosikkijätskiä ja juomaa, mitkä olikin sallittuja :).

Täällä on nimittäin ihan sikamaisen kuuma :(. yäk! Kävin äsken hakemassa Paulin töistä koska junat eivät oikein kulje.. niitä on peruttu sään takia ihan mielettömästi. Takaisin tullessa vilkaisin tien varressa olevaa lämpömittaria... +47C. Yäk! Yäk! yäk! Ja mikä parasta.. meidän ilmastointilaite ei toimi kun on niin kuuma. Joten ei muuta kuin kiuas huoneen nurkkaan niin voisi olla saunassa koko päivän. Tosi ällöttävä olo ja hiki koko ajan. Kävin kylmässä suihkussakin, mutta heti kun astuin pois suihkusta, tuli taas kuuma. nyyh. Haluaa Suomeen pariksi viikoksi. Ai niin, samoja asteita on luvattu koko loppuviikoksi. Mitenhän ne jaksaa pelata tennistä täällä Australian avoimissa. huh huh!

It is so so so so so hot here :(. YUCK! I just went to pick up Paul from work as the trains are not moving.. there has been a huge number of cancellations due to the heat. I saw the temperature on the way back.. +47C. YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! And the best thing... our portable air conditioner doesn't work as it overheats. I feel so yucky and sweaty non stop. I even had a cold shower, but as soon as I stepped out, I felt hot again. *sniff* I want to go to Finland for a couple of weeks. Oh yes, it will be equally hot for the rest of the week. I have no idea how they will manage to play tennis at Australian open here. *sigh*

I like Lime Rickey and Marrakech the most. :) But I am not really in love with any of the series as all of them have at least a couple of papers which I don't like at all... And these stamps are sooo cute!

~LO: the Joy of Weeding~

Miten tämä voi olla mahdollista? Jo toinen sivu valmiina. iiiiik! Arvatkaa vain että nyt on hyvä mieli :). Oli kiva kun tämä syntyi kohtalaisen helposti.

How can this be possible? Already my second page ready. eeek! You can guess that I am feeling pretty good right now :). This layout came together rather painlessly too.

Laitoin kaikki valokuvani järjestykseen ja heitin pois ne kuvat joita en varmasti aio skräpätä. Kiva kun kuvat ovat nyt järjestyksessä. Oli sitten helppo valita sieltä että mitkä kuvat otan seuraavaan projektiin. Tarvikkeiksi valitsin Lemongrass sarjan (Crate paper): kaksi erilaista paperia ja pakkauksen die cut kuvia. On tosi kiva tehdä leiska saman sarjan jutuilla. Ei tarvitse niin murehtia sitä että sopiiko kaikki yhteen. Otsikon kirjaimet ovat Basic Greyn Mellow sarjasta. Tekstin päätin taas printata ja sitten leikkasin sen riveiksi ja liimailin leiskaan.

I sorted all my photos last night and threw away the ones that I know I am not going to scrap. It is so nice to have them in order now. It was easy then to pick the photos I wanted for my next layout. I decided to use Lemongrass collection by Crate paper: 2 different patterned papers and a packet of die cut shapes. It is sooo nice to make a layout using stuff from the same collection. Don't have to worry about whether everything will go together. The title letters are Basic Grey. I decided to print again the journaling, then cut it into strips and glue them onto the layout.

Miten te kaikki muuten pidätte valokuvanne? Siis, printaatteko itse aina tiettyä leiskaa varten ja tilaatteko jostakin kerralla isomman kasan kuvia ja siitä sitten pikkuhiljaa alatte niitä skräppäämään? Minulla on nyt kaikki samaan leiskaan tulevat kuvat yhdessä joten ne on helppo löytää. Aion skräpätä kaikki jo valmiiksi printatut kuvat ja sen jälkeen alan printtaamaan ne itse aina tiettyä leiskaa varten. Kiva kun voi sitten paremmin miettiä sitä kuvien kokoakin.

By the way, how and where do you all keep your photos? Do you just print them yourself for the specific layout or do you go somewhere like Harvey Norman and get a big pile of them printed at the same time and then scrap those bit by bit? As I organized my photos, I made sure that all the photos for the same layout are next to each other so that they are easy to find. I am going to start scrapping away all the photos that I have printed so far at harvey norman and after that I will most likely print photos myself for each layout. It will be nice as I can work more on the photos.. size etc.

huh huh! Vuoden ensimmäinen leiska on valmis! En ole kyllä tähän täysin tyytyväinen :(. Minulla ei ole ikinä mitään sopivia koristeita leiskoihin ja se kun kyllä sitten ärsyttää! Mutta valmista tuli kuitenkin ja se on kiva juttu.

*sigh* My first layout for the year is finally ready. I am not fully happy with this one though :(. I hate it that I never have the right embellishment for my layouts and it drives me nuts! But at least I got it ready and that is a good thing.

Aloitin niin että valikoin Page maps kirjasta luonnoksen ja aloin tekemään sen mukaan sivua. Loppujen lopuksi sivusta tulikin sitten täysin erilainen. hahaa! No, ainakin sen luonnoksen avulla pääsi alkuun. Pohjapaperi on Fancy Pants, kellertävä paperi taas on Creative imaginations. Otsikon ja tekstin printtasin suoraan tuolle paperille. jeee! Kiva kun pääsee käyttämään nyt printteriäkin kun sellainen vihdoinkin löytyy :). Käyttämäni fontit ovat: Bleeding cowboys ja mom's typewriter.

I started so that I picked a sketch from pagemaps book and started making my layout according to that. Well... at the end my layout is NOTHING at all like the sketch *LOL*. Well, at least it got me started. The blue paper is by Fancy pants, mustard paper is by Creative imaginations. I printed the title and journaling directly onto the paper. Yay! I was so happy to be able to do that now that we finally have a printer. I used the following free fonts: Bleeding cowboys and mom's typewriter.

Skräppääminen tosiaan pelottaa, joten päätin toissapäivänä kaivaa esille ohjeet tähän Under My Lucky Stars albumiin, mikä on Celine Navarron suunnittelema. Ostin nämä ohjeet ja tarvikkeet jo varmaan vuosi sitten, mutta en vain ole saanut sitä tehtyä kantta pitemmälle. Halusin tehdä jotakin missä ei tarvitse miettiä mitään erityistä.. saa vain seurata ohjeita. Ja sainkin kaksi sivua lisää valmiiksi. Jee!

Oh wow, I seem to be posting all the time now :). Well, I have been quiet, so I'd better post a lot to make up for it.
Like I said in the previous post, i am a bit scared of scrapping at the moment, so I decided to dig up instructions for this Under my lucky stars album, which is designed by Celine Navarro. I bought the kit with instruction already ages ago, but haven't been able to get further than the cover. But now I wanted to be crafty, but work on something where I don't need to stress.. just follow the instructions. I managed to finish two more pages. Yay!

Minä INHOAN kuumia kesäpäiviä täällä. Blogini on ollut tosi hiljainen tällä viikolla koska minulla on ollut tosi paha olla :(. Joka päivä on ollut kuuma enkä ole saanut nukuttua kunnolla öisin. Päivisin olen sitten ollut kuin horroksessa enkä ole saanut tehtyä juuri mitään. Tänään päätin sitten nukkua niin paljon kuin huvittaa. Samahan sen kun muuten sitä vain istuu ja on. Nyt kello on puoli kaksitoista illalla ja olo on virkeä. hih! juu, menee taas sisäinen kello miten sattuu, mutta menköön. Tärkeinta että saa jotakin tehtyä ja vähän iloa taas elämään.

I HATE hot summer days here. My blog has been pretty quiet this week as I haven't been feeling too good :(. It has been hot every day and I haven't been able to sleep well at nights. During the days I have just been noddy and it has been hard to get anything done. Today I decided that I am just going to sleep as much as I feel like. I mean, why not? Now it is about 11.30pm and I am wide awake. LOL. Oh well, at least I can do something for a change, so I don't care if my inner clock is going a bit crazy. The most important thing for me is to get something done and bring a bit of happiness to life.

Skräppääminen vieläkin pelottaa enkä kertakaikkiaan saa oikein aloitettua. Alkaa ahdistamaan. Elliksen kanssa vähän juttelin siitä ja tuli parempi mieli. Minä aina vaadin ihan liikaa itseltäni. Miten sitä oppisi ihan vain nauttimaan siitä tekemisestä? Tämä taitaa olla taas niitä itsetunto juttuja.. plääh.

I am still scared of scrapping and can't get started at all... I just get super anxious. I had a little talk with another Finnish scrapper about it and felt a bit better. I always demand waaaaay too much from myself. How can I learn to just enjoy myself? I guess this is yet another thing to do with low self esteem. *sigh*

No, muistin että enpä olekaan esitellyt Heidi Swapp kalenteriani mikä valmistui jo pari viikkoa sitten. Se on nyt seinällä ja kävin ottamassa kuvan tammikuusta. Tämä on siis se kalenteri mitä aloimme tekemään siellä Heidi Swapp tapahtumassa. :) Nuo pyöreät tarrat on muuten IHANIA! Niitä pitää kyllä hankkia lisää!

I just remembered that I haven't shown pictures of my Heidi Swapp calender which I got ready a few weeks ago. It is on the wall and I just took a photo of January page. This is the calender I started making at Heidi Swapp workshop. :) I loooove those round stickers! Must get more of those!

eeeeeeeeeek! I love this one! I so want it.. noooow! But well, I don't live in the US so can't get it yet. Hopefully these will end up here sooner or later. These papers are 70% recycled which is fantastic, I think! Yippee! i found the first picture in two peas forum and the second one from an online shop.. of course, I already closed the window *sigh*.

Tekaisin tässä yhden kortin jossa käytin ainoastaan Odd Bird Planet leimasimia. Hitsi että tuo kuorrutettu muffinssi (cupcake) leimasin on IIIIHANA!!! Se on niin kivankokoinen ja monikäyttöinen koska sen päällehän voi laittaa mitä vain koristeeksi! :) Valitettavasti se leimasin ei ole alennuksessa, mutta nuo kaksi muuta ovat, eli babycakes ja tuo aivan ihana tonttuvauva. hihii! Eikö olekin söpöliini? Kakkusen ja tontun värittelin copiceilla ja kuorrutukseen meni vielä sitten vähän kiilleliimaa koristeeksi :).

Here is a card which I made using only Odd Bird Planet stamps. Goodness me, I looove that cupcake stamp! It is the perfect size and so versatile as you can put just about anything on top of it :). The cupcake stamp won't be on sale, but the other two stamps will. Those are the babycakes stamp and that adorable gnome baby. isn't he cute? I coloured the image with copic markers and put a bit of glitter glue on the frosting :).

1. Tykkään nenännyrpistelystä. hihii! :) Aina pitää pyytää että Pauli nyrpisteli nenäänsä kun minusta se on niin hauskannäköistä. Ja kun äiti oli täällä kylässä niin senkin piti aina sitten nyrpistellä. hihii! Ja minä itsekin tykkään nyrpistellä nenääni :) Omituinen.
I like nose wrinkling *LOL*. I love asking Paul to wrinkle his nose as he looks so funny. He always stops it too soon and I beg him to do it again. And when my mom was visitin, she had to do it, too *grin* And I love wrinkling my nose, too. Yes, i am odd.

2. Paulia on pitänyt kouluttaa siitä että miten juodaan minun lasista tai tölkistä. hih! Inhoan sitä jos minun lasista juodaan ja se lasin reuna jää märäksi ja se varsinkin oikein kauhistuttaa että jos siihen reunalle jäisi pikku ruuanmuru. Samoin jos tölkistä otetaan kulaus, niin siihen päälle ei saa jäädä sitä juomaa. *hihittelee täällä itsekseen*
I have had to train Paul on how to drink from my glass or can. *giggle* I HATE it someone takes a sip from my glass and the rim is wet then. And it is absolutely horrible if there ends up being a little crumb of food. Also, if someone takes a sip from my drink can, please please, do not leave any of the drink on top. *giggling by myself*

3. Minun Sokeri kissa on minun ihana pusulivauva. Sokerin kanssa on niin ihana istuskella takapihalla. Sokeria pitää aina pidellä niinkuin vauvaa ja siinä me sitten nautiskellaan pikku tuulesta ja katsellaan lintuja :).
My Sokeri cat is my sweetie snugglebaby. I love sitting in the backyard with her. She loves to be held like a baby there and so, we just sit there enjoying the breeze and looking at birds.

4. Tykkään vedestä! Minun ykkösunelmani on joskus asua talossa jossa takapihalla on uima-allas. Olisin siellä koko ajan!!! Uiminen on ihanaa! Ja rakastan sadepäiviä! Ne on IIIIIIIIIIIHANIA!
I love water!!! My no.1 dream is to one day live in a house with a pool in the backyard. I would be there all the time!!! I love to swim! and I looove rainy days. They are so FABULOUS!

5. Tykkään siitä että saan itseni nauramaan. Minä nauran monesti ihan kummallisille asioille. Tuntuu että jokin vain klikkaa päässä ja tulee niin hirmuisen hyvät naurut ettei se nauraminen meinaa loppua ollenkaan. Kukaan muu ei sitä ikinä ymmärrä :). Ei se haittaa. Nauraminen on hyvä juttu.
I like to make myself laugh. I often laugh at really strange things. I feel like something just clicks in my head and I get the best laughter.. so much so that I can barely stop! Nobody ever understands it. Oh well, it doesn't matter. Laughter is good for life.

6. Minulla on usein paha mieli siitä että minulla ei ole kavereita.. siis muuten kuin netissä. Olisi niin kiva kun olisi ihmisiä jotka tulisivat käymään kylässä ja joiden luona voisi käydä tai voisi soittaa. Siitä on tullut monta kertaa itku :(. Aina on tuntunut siltä että enkö minä ole tarpeeksi hyvä kaveriksi tai että olenko minä kertakaikkiaan niin erilainen? *nyyh*
I often feel really bad about not having any friends.. other than online. I would so love to have friends that I could visit.. or ones that would come visit me or would call me. I have cried about that so many times. I always wonder that am I not good enough to be a friend or am I really *that* different? *sniff*
