~LO: cute little roo~

Pistetäänpä vielä yksi postaus blogiin ennen kuun vaihtumista. Voi tytsyt, kun laitoitte minulle haasteita! hihihiii!!! Ihan oikeasti, oli ihana kun laitoitte. Olivat kivoja yllätyksiä. Lupaan pitää ne mielessä, jos vaikka saisin tehtyä jotakin sopivaa. :)
One more post in my blog this month. :)  Oh girlies, you surprised me with your challenges. Thank you so much for them. I am going to try to do both of them.

Tämä leiska tuli tehtyä vähän niinkuin haasteeseen... eli käyttää leimasimia skräppäämisessä. Minulla kun noita leimasimia löytyy isot kasat mutta ei niitä vain oikein tule käytettyä skräppäämisessä. Oli tosi kiva nyt sitten vähän leimailla! Minulla on aika kivoja kengurukuvia Warrnamboolin reissulta, joten valikoin niistä yhden ja nappasin hyllyltä pölykerroksen alta Stampin Upin kenguru leimasinsetin. Sillä tekaisin sitten tuon taustapaperin ja tietenkin väritin tuon yhden kuvan :). Tässä en käyttänyt siis kuviopapereita ollenkaan. Tämä leiska on kyllä niin kertakaikkisen tyypillinen Laura-leiska. Neliöitä, neliöitä ja lisää neliöitä kerroksittain. Mutta kun siitä niin tykkään. Neliöt on pop! Pop, pop, pop!  Noista Jillibean Soupin aakkosista olen haaveillut jo pitkään mutta kun rahat on olleet tiukalla... Nyt kun oli vähän ylimääräistä niin piti heti tilata niitä! Ihania!
I actually made this layout for a challenge.. I needed to use stamps in scrapping. I have such huge piles of stamps, but I always forget to use them in my layouts. It was so nice to stamp a bit! I have some great kangaroo photos from our Warrnambool getaway, so I picked one of those and then blew the dust of that lovely stampin up kangaroo stamp set. I used it to make that patterned paper and of course, coloured one of the stamped images. I didn't use any bought patterned papers in this layout! I must say that this is sooooooo a typical Laura layout. Lots of squares in layers. I love this look! Squares are pop! Pop, pop, pop! I had been lusting after those Jillibean soup alphabets for ages, but money has been tight.. now that there was a bit of extra, I ordered some immediately! Love them lots!

~LO: Just Married~

Jopas tuli taas pidettyä  blogitaukoa. Joskus tuntuu että viikko vain katoaa eikä saa tehtyä mitään. Ikäviä viikkoja sellaiset. Tämä leiska on valmistunut pikkuhiljaa. En millään saanut sitä valmiiksi kun en jotenkin osannut sitä koristella. En kyllä vieläkään ole siihen tyytyväinen mutta en jaksanut enää sitä katsoa, joten se on sitten valmis. Luultavasti lisään siihen vielä tarinoinnin ja myös häiden päivämäärän kun serkkuni sen minulle antaa :). hih! Paperit ovat October Afternoonin 'Thrift park'-sarjaa. 

Another blog break. sigh. Sometimes I feel like a week just disappears and it is frustrating. I hate that kind of weeks. I have been getting this layout ready bit by bit. I really struggled with getting it finished as I didn't know how to embellish it. I am still not so happy but I am fed up with this dragging on so long, so, it is ready now. Ok, I will still add some journaling to it as well as the date of this wedding. The papers are from October Afternoon's 'Thrift Park'-range.

~LO: the smaller the box...~

Tämä ei nyt kyllä ole totta ollenkaan.. minä tein leiskan ilman luonnosta. Hih! Ei ole haluttanut tehdä leiskoja ilman luonnoksia kun en ole halunnut stressata mistään skräpätessä :). Eilen yritin ensin alkaa tekemään luonnosleiskaa, mutta siitä ei tullut kertakaikkiaan yhtään mitään, joten tein sitten omasta päästä. hih! :) Tykkään vieläkin kovasti tästä Cosmo Cricketin Material Girl sarjasta.. tai ainakin muutamasta paperista siinä sarjassa. Nuo eriväriset viivottimet näyttää aina huippukivoilta leiskoissa!
You are not going to believe this.. I actually made a layout with a sketch! smile. Lately I have been wanting to follow sketches as I haven't wanted any kind of stress. I started this layout following a sketch, but it started to look bloody awful, so I discarded that idea and made it totally my own. I still really like some of these papers from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl range. Those rulers are just fantastic!

~Shimelle's class - prompt 8: Blue Skies and Cloudy Dispositions~

Hihii!!! Ihan älyttömän iloinen olo! Vihdoinkin alan oppimaan enemmän että miten tuota minun kameraa käytetään! Jippii!!! Jippii!!! Tuo Shimellen kurssi on tosi hyvä :). Kävin äsken kuvaamassa vähän taivasta ja kokeilemassa asetuksia. Uskalsin käyttää ihan manuaaliasetuksia. Jee!
*giggling* I am feeling sooooooo happy! I am finally starting to learn more about how to use my camera! Yippee!!! Yippee!!! I am so loving this course by Shimelle :). I just popped out to take a couple of photos of the sky for prompt #8 and trying out some setting. I used the manual settings! Yay!

~LO: Yuck!!!~

Hihii!!! Olinpas taas reipas ja sain leiskan valmiiksi. Tämä scraproomin pakki on viime vuoden heinäkuulta! Minusta tuntui etten taida ikinä käyttää sitä kun ei vaan ollut sopivia kuvia mutta niin vain olen saanut tehtyä jo kaksi leiskaa ainakin! :) Kumpikin leiska on ollut Hong Kong aiheinen. Juu, pitäisi päästä nyt vähän matkustamaan että saisi kivoja matkakuvia kun jatkuvasti ilmestyy uusia ihania matka-aiheisia skräppipaprusarjoja. Haluttaisi vain ostaa niitä koko ajan ja hamstrata että voi sitten joskus käyttää :).

Käytin yhtä heinäkuun Pagemapsia mitä vain vähän pyöräytin että sain siitä itselleni sopivan.

*giggles* I was a good girl and finished another layout. I have had this Making Memories Scrap-room kit since last July! I already thought I would never be able to use it, but now i have already made two layouts from it. Woohoo! Both have been with some Hong Kong photos. Yep, I really need to travel a bit now as there are so many gorgeous travel theme paper ranges.. and new ones appearing all the time. I so want to buy them all, so that hopefully one day I can actually use them *LOL*.

I used a July Pagemaps sketch for this. I just turned it a bit to make it suitable for me.

Tänään on tosi kaunis ilma joten taidanpa mennä vähäksi aikaa takapihalle aurinkoon. Aion luopua lääkityksestä nyt (masennussellaisesta. iiiik!), joten pitää yrittää käydä ulkona enemmänkin nauttimassa auringonvalosta ja eihän tuo raikas ilmakaan taida haitata :).
It is a BEAUTIFUL day here in Melbourne, so I think I will go to the backyard for a bit to enjoy the sun. I have decided to give up my medication (antidepressants), so I am going to try to start going out more to get some more sunlight and well, I don't think that the fresh air will hurt me either.

~LO: Furry hat~

Hyvänen aika, taas uusi leiska! :) Kiva kun on jotakin saanut tehtyä. En kyllä ole tähän leiskaan erityisen tyytyväinen, mikä vähän harmittaa.. mutta kuten tavallista, onpahan taas yksi muisto talletettu! :) Käytin leiskan tekemiseen scraproomin huhtikuun pakkia jossa oli ihania My Mind's Eye papereita. Luonnos oli Shimellen antama (sillä kurssilla siis), vaikka en tainnut kyllä noudattaa sitä oikein hyvin. hih! Pohjaneliöiden välit on vähän epämääräisen mittaiset koska en kertakaikkiaan millään meinannut saada leikattua niitä suoraan. käääääääääääääääk!!! Sitten en jaksanut enää värkätä niiden kanssa ja päätin vain laittaa ne leiskaan :). 

Far out! look at this, another new layout! :) Feels good to get something done. But I am not exactly happy with this layout... sucks.. but as usual, I am happy that another memory has been recorded! :). I used the April kit from Scrap-room, the one that had these beautiful My Mind's Eye papers. I used one of the sketches provided to us by Shimelle, even though I don't think I followed it too well. Please, ignore the different size squares on the bottom. I just couldn't cut them straight!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!! then I got fed up with them and just stuck them down :).

~LO: the adventurer~

Eilen olin niin mielettömän surullinen koska oli taas niin yksinäinen olo. Onneksi iltaa kohti kuitenkin piristyin ja sain tehtyä tämän leiskan loppuun. Kävin keskiviikkona Kaisercraftin kaupassa ja ostin kolme näitä tämän La Di Da-sarjan papereita. Näissä on ihanat värit ja printit! Oli tosi kiva ottaa ne heti käyttöön! Ne kyllä piristi mieltä kivasti.. kuten myös nuo Sokerin kuvat. No, Sokeri se aina kyllä osaa piristää :).
 I was so unbelievably sad yesterday as once again I felt so incredibly lonely. Fortunately my mood picked up towards the night and I managed to finish this layout. On Wednesday I popped into the Kaisercraft shop and bought three papers from this lovely La Di Da-range. I love the colours and prints! It was super wonderful to scrap using them. Really cheered me up, as did those lovely Sokeri photos. Well, Sokeri always makes me happy :).

~Shimelle's class - prompt 2: Fifty Zillion Flowers~

Vihdoinkin aurinkoinen päivä!!! Jäin jälkeen Shimellen kurssilla kun aurinko ei ole paistanut ja eipä innostanut kyllä lähteä ottamaan kuvia kukista jos on tosi pilvistä.. vaikka toisaalta olisi varmasti saanut mielenkiintoisia kuvia sitenkin. Näin nämä kukat tien varrella ja ei kun auto parkkiin ja kameran kanssa kuvia napsimaan. Hitto kun ei tämänkokoisena oikein meinaa taipua ottamaan kuvia eri kulmista. Oih, miten turhauttava olo tulee :(. Mutta päätin kuitenkin olla ylpeä itsestäni kun sain otettua kuvia. Olihan siinä joukossa muutama tosi kiva otoskin!
Finally a sunny day!!! I have fallen behind with Shimelle's course as it has been super dreary and grey outside. Not exactly the perfect weather for photographing flowers. But then again, could have taken some interesting shots. hmm.. I saw these flowers by the side of the road and so I parked the car and got out with my camera and took some pictures. I felt soooo frustrated as I am too big to nicely move around to take photos from different angles. But I tried to stay positive and just be proud of myself for getting out and about to take photos. And I did get a couple of lovely photos.

~Shimelle's class - prompt 1: Finding your lighting~

Ihan kivasti on alkanut tämä Shimellen uusin kurssi. Eipä harmita ollenkaan että päätin osallistua :). Ajattelin että voisin välillä vaikka laittaa blogiinkin kuvia mitä tulee napsittua. Tässä ensimmäiseen Shimellen antamaan tehtävään:
I am really loving this course by Shimelle. She creates beautiful pdfs and she is so organized. Love it! I am so happy that I visited her blog and decided to try this course. I thought that every now and then I will put here some photos that I take during the course. These are my photos for the first assignment:

Tykkään tosi paljon tuosta isoimmasta kuvasta oikealla. Otin sen heti aamulla takapihalla. Haluttaisi heti skräpätä se :).
I love that photo on the right. I took it in the morning in the backyard. I so want to scrap it now! :)

~LO: winter creature~

Tuntuuko heti viileämmältä? Suomessa kyllä tuntuu olevan sen verran hellettä että voi tuntua omituiselta kun minä lykkään blogiin näin talvisin leiskan. Mutta täällä Australiassahan on kyllä talvi ja on kyyyylmä!!!! Hitsi kun patteritkin pitää olla päällä koko ajan että saisi edes jotakin tehtyä ja sähkö on niin perhanan kallista. höh. Tänä aamuna onneksi aurinko paistaa vaikka onkin kylmä. Kävin tuossa yhdeksän aikoihin Sokerin kanssa takapihalla haistelemassa vähän raitista ilmaa ja kylläpä hengitys katosi höyrynä taivaalle. huih!
Are you feeling cooler already? Well, I hear that it is pretty warm just about everywhere else other than here, so it might feel a bit odd for you that I am putting a wintery layout here. But it is middle of winter here in Australia and it sure is cold in Melbourne!!!! I hate it that we need to have the heaters on all day long to be able to actually get something done and electricity is so damn expensive. sigh. Fortunately sun is shining this morning even though it is still cold. Around 9am I popped out to the backyard with Sokeri, to sniff a bit of fresh air and I could see my breath disappear as steam to the sky.

No, mutta tällainen leiska valmistui tänä aamuna. Käytin ihka uutta Basic Grey sarjaa, eli Oliver. Siinä oli tuollainen talvinen paperi ja kun tuo kuva on odottanut skräppäystä niin tuo paperi tuntui just sopivalta. Ja niin se olikin! Lumihiutaleet on napsuteltu Martha Stewartin lävistäjällä ja sen jälkeen reunustin ne Sakuran stardust kynällä. Se on ihana! Aakkoset on Studio Calicoa, mutta en muista nyt sitä sarjan nimeä. Sitä myytiin täällä pari kuukautta sitten muistaakseni. Kirjaimet olen reunustellut valkoisella Inkssentials geelikynällä. Viimeistelin leiskan vielä stickles kiilleliimalla. Ainiin, kuva on toki otettu Suomessa! Vaikka kyllähän täälläkin on hiihtokausi alkanut jo... kolme tuntia kun ajelisi pohjoiseenpäin niin pääsisi hiihtelemään. Ei kiitos!
So, this is my layout for this morning. I used a brand spanking new Basic Grey range called Oliver. It had this snowy paper which was perfect for the only snow photo that I had waiting to be scrapped! The snowflakes I punched with a Martha Steward punch and then did the edges with my Sakura stardust pen (which I loooove!). The alphabet stickers are Studio Calico, but I can't remember the name of the range though. It was sold here a few months ago, I think. I did the edges of the stickers with my white Inkssentials gel pen and then finished the layout with stickles glitter glue. oh yes, the photo was taken in Finland, not here :). Even though the skiing season has already started. Just three hours drive to the north and I could go skiing. No thanks!

~LO: Family friends~

Ah, mikä helpotuksen huokaus pääsi kun sain tämän leiskan valmiiksi! Tätä olen yrittänyt saada tehtyä loppuun jo monta viikkoa :). Jippii!!! Ja se ihana Basic Greyn Origins sarja taas käytössä! Minä olen vieläkin ihan hulluna noihin papereihin! Niistä ei voi olla tykkäämättä!

Minulle tuplaleiskat ovat tosi tosi tosi vaikeita tehdä ja tämä on ensimmäinen minkä olen ihan itse suunnitellut! Jee! Ihanaa, ihanaa, ihanaa! Leiska kertoo harakoista jotka vierailevat Paulin vanhempien luona monta kertaa päivässä.. ja ovat käyneet jo vuosien ajan! Jo vuosi he tuovat poikaset mukana ja on kiva nähdä kun ne kasvaa ja oppivat lisää koko ajan :). Harakat on hauskoja kun ne tulee koputtamaan ovelle tai ikkunaan ja tuijottavat sisälle jos ei kukaan avaa ovea. hih! :) Hassuja.

Otsikon tarrakirjaimet ovat myös Origins sarjaa. Valitettavasti arkilla oli vain yksi f kirjain, joten leikkasin siitä arkille jääneet reunat ja käytin paperin kanssa kirjaimeksi otsikkoon :).

Iloinen olo!

Aaaaaah, what a sigh of relief :). I finally finished this layout! I have been trying to get it ready for many weeks now. Yippee!!! I got to use the lovely Basic Grey Origins range again. I am still so loving these papers. Can't really help but love them!

I so struggle with making double layouts and this is the first one that I have actually designed by myself! Yay! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! The layout is about magpies who have been visiting my partner's family for many years already. They are so cute! each year they bring the little ones with them and it is fun to see them grow :). the magpies come knock on the door or the window and stare inside, if noone comes to the door. :) Funny creatures.

The alphabet stickers on the title are also Origins range. Unfortunately the sheet had only one letter F, so I cut the outlines of it from the sheet and combined that with paper to create another letter f for the title :).

Feeling happy!

~LO: Cockatoo block of flats~

Ihana kun sain taas yhden leiskan valmiiksi. Aloitin tämänkin leiskan viime lauantaina. Eilen oli niin hyvä olla että skräppääminen oli ihanaa!!! Taisi tosiaan auttaa ne teidän lähettämät energiat. Kiitos! :)

Käytin tähän yhtä huhtikuun Scraproom pakeista. Nuo paperit on kyllä ihania. My mind's Eye:lla on aina niin kauniita papereita! Kävittekö muuten katsomassa uusia tämän kuun scraproom pakkeja. iiiiik! Voi hitsi kun niin haluttaisi saada ne, mutta pakko on vielä pitää taukoa koska tämä tavaramäärä ei tunnu vähenevän ollenkaan. Pitääköhän alkaa tekemään iso kasa kaikenlaista lahjoiksi? :) Hurja kasa minialbumeja tai jotakin :).

I am so happy that I got another layout ready. This is also a layout that I started last saturday at the crop. I felt so good yesterday that scrapping was wonderful!!! I think that all the energy you sent me really helped. Thank you! :)

I used a scraproom kit from April for this layout. I love those papers. My Mind's Eye really does make the most gorgeous papers. Colours are always amazing. Hey, did you have a look at the new July kits at scraproom? Eeeek! I so so so so want those, but just can't order them yet. The amount of stuff here just doesn't seem to get any less. I think I need to start making a huge pile of gifts to send out or something. A big pile of mini albums? :)

En seurannut luonnosta ihan kokonaan mutta eiköhän se kuitenkin ole tunnistettavissa :).
I didn't follow it all the way, but you can definitely still recognize it.

Toissaviikonloppuna me käytiin pienellä viikonloppulomalla. Ajettiin Warrnambooliin ja oltiin siellä hotellissa pari yötä. Siellä lähellä on sellainen tooooooooooooosi vanha .... hmm.. tulivuori? vai onkohan se kraateri. No, kuitenkin. Se on aivan ihana alue, sillä siellä asuu monenlaisia eläimiä. Siellä on kävelyreittejä ja mekin käveltiin niistä yksi. Olin kyllä ylpeä itsestäni kun sain käveltyä! Jee! :) Nähtiin kenguruita, emuja ja jopa koalakin puunlatvassa! Kun sunnuntaina oltiin lähtemässä kotiin, päätimme ajaa sen Tower Hill alueen läpi vielä kerran. Hyvä kun mentiin sillä saatiin ihailla ihania villikakaduja. On ne vaan kovaäänisiä! ja iiiiiiiihania! Niitä on mahtava katsella. Tämän kraaterin seinät ovat todella upeat ja kakadut näyttävät asuvan siellä. Minusta se näytti ihan siis kakadujen kerrostalolta!
Two weeks ago we went to a little weekend away. We drove to Warrnambool and stayed there at a hotel for two nights. Near Warrnambool there is an ancient volcano. It is such a beautiful area and many animals live there. There are several walking paths and we did one of those. I was so proud of myself for walking! Yay! :) We saw kangaroos, emus and even a koala on top of a tree.. eating. On Sunday, when were ready to start driving home, we decided to go drive through the Tower Hill area once more, to see if we see more animals. I am glad we did as there were lots of cockatoos. I love them! They are so loud.. and so beautiful! I still find it amazing that there are so many wild cockatoos here. Walls of the volcano are so gorgeous and looks like the cockatoos live there. I thought it looked like a cockatoo block of flats and I just had to make a layout of it!
